Use your QIB Debit and Credit Cards to make fast, simple, and secure contactless payments in stores and online with Google Pay!
Set up Google Pay quickly and keep your QIB cards ready to use wherever you go.
Google Pay is a digital wallet that offers a fast and simple way to pay across millions of locations – online, in stores, and more.
It brings together everything you need at checkout while keeping your information safe and secure.
Use your Android device with any eligible QIB Debit, Credit, or Prepaid Card to make payments anywhere contactless transactions are accepted.
Google Pay may come preloaded on select devices. If not, you can easily download Google App from the Play Store.
To get started, sign in to your Google account and add your eligible Credit, Debit, or Prepaid Cards. During setup, you’ll create a Google Wallet PIN, pattern, or password.
On supported devices running Android Marshmallow 8.0 or later, you can also use your fingerprint to verify transactions.
Google Pay protects your payment information with multiple layers of advanced security.
When you pay in stores, it never shares your actual card number.
Instead, it uses a virtual account number, keeping your Credit, Debit, or Prepaid Card details safe at every transaction.
All QIB Debit, Credit, and Prepaid Cardholders with NFC-enabled Android devices can make contactless payments using their phone.
NFC lets your device communicate with contactless terminals, allowing you to tap instead of swiping or inserting a card.
Please note that Google Pay specifically requires Android OS version 8.0 and above.
Most Android devices running Lollipop 5.0 and above support NFC.
You can confirm this by checking for the NFC option in your phone’s settings menu.
Google Pay uses Near Field Communication (NFC) to enable contactless mobile payments, allowing you to pay anywhere contactless payments are accepted.
NFC lets devices communicate at close range, so you can complete transactions by simply tapping your NFC-enabled device on a contactless terminal.
